3 Ingredient Chocolate Mousse {Vegan + Sugar free}

Filed in: sweet

3-Ingredient-Raw-Chocolate-Banana-Mousse-The-Macadames-

Do you have a problem with chocolate?  I know I do.  Once I start eating, I just can’t stop.  Before I know it, I have eaten half a packet of Tim-Tams.  Today, I bring you a solution for chocoholics that is guilt-free and it comes in the form of mousse.  Who doesn’t love the smooth, silky, velvety texture of chocolate mousse?  This version is a sugar free, dairy free and vegan mousse that tastes just as good as the real thing.

A typical chocolate mousse is made using chocolate, cream and egg whites.  Only three ingredients.  This version also only uses three ingredients – banana, cacao and cashews.

Using the natural sweetness of the banana, you are able to create the same smooth and creamy texture.

    Hi Anisa
    I have just tried it and it is GREAT. I tried it with almonds because of Harrison’s allergy (and I didn’t have any macadamias). I used a super ripe banana, and a little less cacao as my girlfriend said that hers was a bit pastey (i.e. thick and not creamy) when she made it. The result is heavenly. I’m going to serve it tonight with bananas as you did in the picture.

    I’m so glad you liked it. Isn’t Tegan a whizz? Be sure to post photos and tag us at #cookwiththemacadames. Thanks for the tip re the cacao, it might come down to the size of the bananas used too 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
